Challenge 80 - Coffee, Cocoa or Tea

Happy Friday Fussy and Fancy followers

********

Our new guest designer and top 5 from
challenge 79 "Furry Friends" will be
announced next Friday (18th January) so
please pop back then to see if you
are amongst the winners

********

Welcome to the first challenge of 2013

We've decided to make a few
minor changes to the way we do
things behind the scenes at F&F, but
thought you'd like to know about them
(if not please skip to the next section!!)

Up until now the challenge themes
were set a year in advance by one
person and given to the design team,
but to make it more interesting each
design team member has now been
given the opportunity of choosing
their own theme (on a rota basis)
and choosing their own top 5.

The guest design winner will still be
chosen by Random.org

As all of the design team members use
different techniques and skills in their
projects they too will be looking out
for different things from your entries
into their individual challenges!

Good luck in 2013

********

Just to keep you in suspense for a bit
longer we'd like to introduce you
to a couple of new additions to our
design team, Sam Crowe and Jo Rice.
They will both be joining team B in
 their first challenge on 25th
January, so please welcome them
to the Fussy and Fancy design team

Ladies please introduce yourselves:

Hi I'm Sam and I'm really honoured and excited to
have been asked to join the talented and friendly
design team here at Fussy and Fancy and
share my love of craft with you.

As a young child my Mam passed onto me her
vast knowledge in the basics of arts and crafts
which included sewing, knitting, tapestry, rug
making, dressmaking, painting and decorating.

In my 30's (which wasn't THAT long ago!) I
rediscovered my interest and skills when I studied
painting and decorating, interior design and soft
furnishings.  A lot of the skills I learnt on a larger
scale then are just as much fun now when used
on tags and altered art.

When my Mam died a few years ago crafting really
helped me and I decided to take my hobby and passion
as far as I could.  I taught myself to blog and twitter
and have since joined pinterest as well as chatting to
endless crafty ladies on facebook.

I try and attend every craft fair and show that I can
as well as attending classes so that I am constantly
improving my skills and of course build up my stash!

I particularly love altered art, tags and twinchies but
most of all I just love to meet like minded people.

My latest achievement has been to join the
Splodgeaway design team so I hope to be able to use
some of their products in my projects here too.

********

Hi I'm Jo, I'm 49 and married with 2 grown up sons
and my crafty companion is a 3 year old yellow
labrador called Tess.

I've been crafting for many years with my main
interest being card making and pyrography.  I am a
freelance designer and crafter running regular
workshops and I love to share ideas with
my fellow crafters.

Last year began on a high when I was asked to
join the Hobby Art design team, followed by
IndigoBlu inviting me onto theirs and then to
round the year off Samuel Taylor approached
me too.  I'm loving working with all of their
products and you might get to see a few
of them in my projects here.

Our challenge for the next fortnight
is hosted by Sheryl

and the theme she has chosen is:

Coffee, Cocoa & Tea

Sheryl would like to see beverage
related projects i.e. pots of tea,
cups of coffee, people holding
a cup and not just using these
colours on your projects

We are being sponsored for this
challenge by Fresh Brewed Designs

As we are not normally a sponsored
challenge we thought it would be
nice, in addition to our featured guest
design winner, to ask Sheryl to
chose another winner who will
receive 3 digis of their choice from
Fresh Brewed Designs.

If you'd like to read more about Heather
and her inspiration behind the setting
up of Fresh Brewed Designs she was our
guest designer from challenge 72.

We'd like to thank Heather for sponsoring
this challenge and kindly letting the design
team use some of her images to
create their inspirational projects.

Here are their hot delights:

(using Hot Date)

(using Coffee and Pie)

(using Coffee and Pie)

(using Hot Cocoa Girl rubber stamp)

(using Ladybug Teapot)

(using Latte Love)

(using Thinking of You - Girl in Window)

We hope you have fun with this challenge!

You have until midnight on
24th January GMT to enter

xx Happy crafting and glittery hugs xx
